Please let me introduce myself to you. My name is Capt. Ed Concilla.
I am the founder, and along with my wife Sue, owner of
North Country Adventures.
I started North Country Adventures in 1987, when, after getting
burnt and taken for a ride by unscrupulous outfitters on a couple
of so-called big game hunts, I decided that there was a definite
need for someone to look to for help and advice in selecting a good
quality hunt for my hard earned dollar. This needed to be
someone with experience and first hand knowledge in the selection
of a reputable and honest outfitter.
After my return from a very successful Quebec caribou hunt in
1987, I decided to be that person. Since then Sue and I have had
the good fortune of experiencing many wonderful and successful hunting
and fishing trips across North America.
We have taken trips for elk, moose, caribou, Dall’s sheep, grizzly
bear, black bear, giant halibut, king salmon, walleye, and many
others. It is with these excellent outfitters that I have personally
hunted and fished with that I now trust with my clients.
I do not consider myself a booking agent. Most booking
agents have never been outside their office or home town. I am a
“Hunting and Fishing Consultant”. This means that you can
consult with me on any aspect of your prospective hunting or fishing
trip. North Country Adventures
can advise you on everything from what to wear to what bullet or
lure to use. My experience is yours for the asking. I have hunted
or fished with every outfitter that I now recommend to my clients.
My service to you is free. I am paid by my outfitters who depend
on me to send them good, honest people. I can also put you in contact
with the outfitter if you want to discuss your trip directly with
them.
My credentials also include being a charter captain with a master’s
license on the Great Lakes for 20 years. I am also a licensed assistant
guide in the state of Alaska.
I give you my personal guarantee that I will do everything in
my power to ensure that you have a wonderful and successful experience
through North Country Adventures.
